TIRANA, November 21 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, has stated that the flood in Shkodra was caused by the mismanagement of the situation in the energy cascade.
Berisha was in Obot of Shkodra on Monday and he said there that the bad management of the cascade has become law because of the thefts.
“The rains have been powerful, but the basis is the absolute mismanagement of the cascade due to theft. At a time when they could produce energy for all the needs of the country, they made the tender and bought energy and did not produce a single kilowatt until this morning when they started production after being unmasked,” said Berisha. According to him, the Koman tunnels were opened secretly. “They took 150 million kilowatts of deposits from Kosovo’s KEK, and when KEK put the power plants and batteries into repair, they asked them to return a part, but they didn’t give a single kilowatt,” he said.
“They sold a large part of KEK’s energy at a time when the cascade should have been preserved, Fierza kept under control, but not. This is theft with major consequences. They secretly open the tunnels of Koman, open the gates of Zadeja, Vau i Dejes, and the flood comes with lightning speed. People have been outside and could not get into the house. This does not recognize any law as the law forces KESH to pay for any damage it does,” said Berisha. /Argumentum.al
