The cooperation of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) with Prime Minister Edi Rama is a national betrayal. This outspoken declaration was made by the chairwoman of the SMI, Monika Kryemadhi, when asked if there is a possibility of cooperation between the party she leads and PM Edi Rama and his Socialist Party.
Ms. Kryemadhi, wife of President Ilir Meta, has categorically denied such a possibility. In an interview given to a local tv on Sunday, Kryemadhi emphasized that cooperating with a man like Rama, who feels disgust for his country, who feels hatred for his people, who hat driven them out of Albania is a national betrayal.
“The cooperation of the SMI with Edi Rama is a national betrayal. To cooperate with a man who feels disgust for his country, for a man who feels hatred for his people, for a man who raises his citizens to leave Albania, it is normal that any cooperation with Edi Rama would be a national betrayal,” was the integral reaction of SMI head on any hint that SMI could frame a deal with SP after the April 25 electtins depending on the results of the general poll in this Balkan country.
