A day after the elections in the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) the party’s Election Commission reconfirmed on Sunday Monika Kryemadh in the position of chairwoman of this left-wing opposition party in Albania.
Although the re-election in the second term is not a surprise at all, former MP Silva Caka, in the role of CEC chairwoman in the SMI, announced that Kryemadhi received 42,807 votes in favor out of 44,413 registered votes in total.
“We are in front of you today to announce the result of the vote for the chairperson of the Socialist Movement for Integration. We would like to inform you that due to the curfew from 22:00 to 06:00, the election materials for some polling stations outside the district of Tirana were submitted to the Central Election Commission this morning. Based on the summary tables of results, we confirm that the process of counting the ballots for the chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration has been completed,” she said in a press conference.
According to her, 44,413 members cast their ballots and out of them 42,807 voted in favor of the candidate for head of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Mrs. Monika Kryemadhi.
“Based on the above results, the Central Election Commission proclaims
