TIRANA, April 15 – The Prime Minister, at the same time the head of the Socialist Party (SP), Edi Rama declared that the electoral campaign of the SP is not to use the funds of the government and municipalities for trees.
Rama said this in Kavaja on Saturday in a meeting with Socialist supporters launching the electoral campaign for the May 14 local elections.
“We do not intend to organize big rallies and noises at the end. We will also hold a rally for those who say: “Please more, they (the opposition) cannot be tolerated when they gather,” said Rama. “We still have our mind set on how to do some work even when we are campaigning. Let’s plant some trees with those campaign funds, reducing the spending.”
In a comment on the leaders of the opposition, Rama said that “you saw that we don’t even want to mention names, but when you say two shadows, you have said it all. They both have so many problems of their own that they can’t solve them and they say come and vote for us to become part of our problem.”
Rama also participated in such an electoral event in Gramsh, southern Albania. /Argumentum.al
