TIRANA, June 28 – “Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha) is a holiday that materializes the high obedience, submission, patience and sacrifice of man to the God of the universe. Kurban Bayram is a holiday that is experienced in every heart and in every hearth.”
The Head of the Albanian Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, addressed these words in his message on the occasion of Kurban Bayram, which was celebrated throughout Albania.
Thousands of believers filled the “Skënderbej” square on the morning of Wednesday and all the squares and mosques of Albania for the prayer of Kurban Bayram.
Kurban Bayram is the holiday that symbolizes, among others, the sublime sacrifice of the father of the prophets, Ibrahim a.s. Major events that have changed the course of history are associated with the name of this holiday, such as: the reconstruction of the Kaaba, the Hajj, the name “Muslim”, etc.
Spahiu wished the Albanians for more peace and prosperity, while his prayers also went to the state of Kosovo, where the Albanians are facing great sacrifice due to the Serbian aggression.
As usual, politicians from all over the Albanian political scene sent messages on social networks on this occasion. /argumentum.al
