The General Secretary of the ruling Socialist Party (SP) of Albania, Taulant Balla attended on Tuesday the virtual proceedings of the World Summit of Political Parties with the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Balla assessed in his speech in the Summit chaired by President Xi Jinping in Beijing that “there is a good climate of bilateral cooperation, with a satisfactory level of political dialogue and exchange of bilateral visits between Albania and China.”
Further on Balla, who is also head of SP parliamentary group, noted that the economic cooperation between the two countries has increased.
“China occupies close to 8% of our total trade volume, while Albanian exports to China continue to grow significantly,” said Balla.
President Xi Jinping, who is also the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), stated at the summit of the CPC and World Political Parties held virtually in Beijing on Tuesday that China will always be a member of the developing world.
According to him, China will never seek hegemony, expansion or sphere of influence.
Xi called for joint efforts to oppose the practice of unilateralism under the guise of multilateralism.
“We must oppose the practice of unilateralism disguised as multilateralism and say no to hegemonism and politics of force.” /argumentum.al
