TIRANA, May 5 – The Chairman of the Freedom Party (FP), Ilir Meta, honored the Martyrs of the Fatherland in Rrogozhina on Thursday.
In a post on social networks, Meta published photos placing flowers on the memorial of the heroes , Margarita and Kristaq Tutulani in that city.
“Today, on Martyrs’ Day in Gosa of Rrogozhina, we laid wreaths in honor of the People’s Heroes, Margarita and Kristaq Tutulani. Their brutal execution by the occupier was a desperate attempt to scare the youth across the country to join the Anti-Fascist War for Freedom,” said Meta.
FP head pledged that they will always be remembered with respect and love for the most sublime sacrifices they made and Margarita’s message will never be forgotten: We need the homeland to live free, said Meta.
The fifth of May is Martyrs’ Day, an Albanian holiday observed annually for the remembrance of those who died for Albania’s liberation during World War 2. Leaders of the state and the government paid homage at Martyr’s Cemetery in Tirana. Similar ceremonies were held across the country. /argumentum.al
