TIRANA, August 26 – The high temperatures that have engulfed Albania have activated numerous fires, said Prime Minister Edi Rama who announced on Saturday that 10 fires have been extinguished throughout the country in the last 24 hours.
Rama said that 100 members of the Armed Forces have been engaged in extinguishing the fires.
“Thanks to the continuous work of the civil emergency forces, assisted by members of the Armed Forces as well as under the coordination of the Civil Defense Agency, 10 fires have been extinguished with dedication and high professionalism, avoiding major damage in the entire territory of the country during the last 24 hours,” said the prime minister. /argumentum.al
