The 15th anniversary of the declaration of independence of Montenegro was marked in Tirana by an activity organized by President Ilir Meta who celebrated it with representatives of the Montenegrin minority in Albania on Friday.
“On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the declaration of independence of Montenegro, I have the pleasure to mark this important historical event not only for the people of Montenegro and its Euro-Atlantic future, but also for the long-term peace, security and stability of the region,” said Meta in the presence of the representatives of the Montenegrin minority in Albania describing it as an important historical event.
“Best and sincere congratulations on this anniversary marked for the citizens of this neighboring and friendly country with Albania, as well as especially for the Albanians living there, who prove every day that they are determined to contribute to the stability of this member country of NATO having its future in the European Union,” said Meta.
In closing President Meta expressed his pleasure that Day for Montenegro coincided with the International Day of Cultural Diversity, Dialogue and Development and he hosted representatives of the Montenegrin minority in Albanial at the Presidential premises on Friday./argumentum.al
