The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, congratulated today on the 25th anniversary of the Liberation of Kosovo.
Meta emphasized in his congratulations that, on this historic day for our entire nation, which reminds us how dear Freedom and Independence is, we honor with respect and humility the sacrifices of every Albanian, the heroic resistance and the just fight of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the President Ibrahim Rugova, the legendary Commander Adem Jashari and all the martyrs who gave their lives to crown this centuries-old aspiration”.
“The freedom of Kosovo is based on the sacrifices and blood of all those who fell heroically to be immortalized in the battle for freedom and national dignity,” added Meta.
“Today we are proud of the achievements of the Republic of Kosovo, a key factor for peace, stability and security in the region, an inspiring example of functional democracy and the rule of law”, underlined Meta.
Meta expressed eternal gratitude and gratitude to the NATO liberation troops, the contribution of the USA, strategic partners and all friendly democratic countries, who put an end to the genocide and established peace in Kosovo, continuing to help the unstoppable development of democracy, the advancement of integration processes and its membership in international organizations.
“Albania will always stand by Kosovo, against any chauvinistic project that aims to undo these achievements with the ominous ideas of exchanging territories, in support of its sovereignty and integrity, full Euro-Atlantic integration and in all future challenges” , further emphasized Meta.
Meta also shared the footage of June 12, 1999, conveyed 25 years ago in the reporting of the well-known journalist Asllan Bajrami.
