TIRANA, June 18 – The Albanian Armed Forces continue to contribute to missions abroad. The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi announced on Sunday that Albania is participating in the NATO group-battalion in Latvia with its 13th contingent.
“Our country has proven that it is not only a factor of regional and wider peace and stability, but also a serious ally, which undertakes and bears the burden of obligations within the collective defense of the Alliance,” said Peleshi.
The XIII EOD Contingent participates in NATO’s Enhanced Forward Presence – eFP mission, as part of the Canadian battalion group – deployed in Latvia. /argumentum.al
