TIRANA, November 22- Serbia sent a note of protest to the Albanian embassy, after the burning of the Serbian flag in Tirana.
On November 20, a video appeared on social networks where football fans in Tirana were seen burning the flag of Serbia in Skenderbej Square. For this reason, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note to the Embassy of Albania in Belgrade.
“We believe that such events harm the bilateral relations of the two countries, which in recent years have reached the highest point during their centuries-long joint history,” announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia on Wednesday.
B92.net reported that the Serbian Foreign Ministry, in this spirit, expects the competent institutions of the Republic of Albania to do everything possible to identify and prosecute the authors of that act, who are clearly seen in the published video. They should notify the institutions of the Republic of Serbia through diplomatic means within a reasonable time.
