TIRANA, November 8 – The Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, received the Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Anar Huseynov, on Wednesday on the occasion of his appointment as Resident Ambassador to Albania.
The Speaker wished Ambassador Huseynov success in his mission in Albania and pointed out the intensification of relations and cooperation between the two countries during the last years.
In the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the two countries have an excellent cooperation, which in recent years has been intensified and an expression of it was the visit of President Aliyev to Tirana and those of Prime Minister Edi Rama and President Bajram Begaj to Baku.
Parliamentary cooperation is intensifying and supports the relations between the two countries and the friendship between the two peoples.
Economic cooperation is intensifying in the fields of tourism and energy, and investors from Azerbaijan are also welcome to other sectors of the Albanian economy.
Ambassador Anar Huseynov underlined that he will contribute to the advancement of all-round cooperation between the two countries and the expansion of parliamentary cooperation.
Azerbaijan, according to him, highly appreciates Albania’s cooperation and contribution in the UN Security Council, OSCE, the Black Sea Parliamentary Assembly and other international organizations. /argumentum.al
