Japan and Albania have exchanged formal Notes of mutual recognition in 1922. This year we cherish the 100th anniversary of our bilateral relations – a century of friendly relations. Ever since, Japan has been a continuous supporter of Albania.
It was very interesting to know that archived documents show that even in the 20th of last century, Japan has sustained projects for water supply for the city of Tirana.
Ambassador Takada informed our team on several projects that his Embassy has undertaken, such as helping several municipalities with firefighter’s equipment and vehicles, local hospitals with ambulances and medical equipment, financial support for the National Historic Museum and many more.
We assured his Excellency Takada of our assistance in strengthening our relation as we got his full support to collaborate with the Council of Albanian Ambassadors in promoting business opportunities, tourism, cultural and people to people exchange in our countries.
