TIRANA, April 1 – The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Sali Berisha, in a meeting with the citizens in Dibra on Saturday, spoke about the investment for the construction of the hydropower plant in Skavica.
In his speech, Berisha considered the investment for the construction of Skavica as corrupt and a project that will suffocate Dibra, northeastern Albania.
“They rushed to drown Dibra. Skavica is Dibra’s grave. Will we agree to become mortals in its burial? What remains in Dibra if 20,000 residents are removed? All acts of corruption, all acts of blasphemy. Project of Enver Hoxha. But the dictator had totally closed Albania from the outside world and built dams. He decided to displace Dibra to Hoxhare. However, he did not dare,” said Berisha. According to him, it is inhuman to destroy 32 villages and remove the residents.
Further Berisha said that the Skavica affair is a corrupt affair and he called on the British government not to allow British companies to buy shares because, according to him, Dibra cannot be buried. /Argumentum.al
