TIRANA, October 5 – The battle for the leadership of the parliamentary group of the divided Democratic Party (DP) became a topic of debate in Thursday’s session of the Assembly, where self-declared DP head Lulzim Basha and head of DP parliamentary group Gazment Bardhi became protagonists.
The cause of the verbal clashes between them was the inclusion in the agenda of the request made by the head of the group of democrats, Gazment Bardhi for the review of the composition of the Electoral Reform Commission.
Speaker Lindita Nikolla said that she would turn to the Council for Regulation and Mandates if necessary to interpret this unprecedented situation.
Socialist MP Elisa Spiropali said the dumb man was speaking in a direct reference to Basha, who retorted by saying that “If you have decided in your dark scenes of alliances of towers and non grata, have the courage to come out and tell the Albanians that you are part of that alliance.”
In response, Bardhi reminded Basha who is really behind the towers in Tirana. “I was very excited, especially by this alliance of towers. The previous speaker is the only one who got two floors in a tower in one of the most expensive areas of Tirana in the last month. You count the floors of the towers, yours and your family’s,” he said.
In addition, Bardhi told Basha that he was the only person in the parliamentary hall who was a self-proclaimed party leader and he did not dare to gather the parliamentary group of the party which he thinks he represents. /argumentum.al
