TIRANA, October 4 – The Albanian Forum and the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA) formed a joint parliamentary group in the Assembly of Montenegro, while the chairman of the group will be Nik Gjeloshaj. Mehmet Zenka (DUA) was on the list of Milo Djukanović’s party, DPS, in the June 11 elections. Members of the Albanian Forum in the Parliament of Montenegro are Nik Gjeloshaj and Nikollë Camaj.
“We have decided to take this step with the aim of greater unity of Albanians as well as their authentic representation. Only together we can work on the integration and progress of Albanians and this will be a key part of our action agenda,” said the announcement of the deputies. The group’s political activity is, as they said, unique in every aspect, unanimously defending and promoting the rights of the Albanian people, reported Radio Televizija Crne Gore (rtcg) on Wednesday.
“In this way, three united Albanian MPs will represent their people with dignity and will work with dedication for the development and improvement of all municipalities where Albanians live. The Albanian language will be heard through our group and it will echo with pride in the Assembly of Montenegro. The continuation of the integration of Albanians, the improvement of their standard of living and full factorization will be strengthened through our group,” their statement said.
The Albanian MPs also said that the group will maintain excellent relations both with the countries of the region and with the Western countries, primarily with the US as the main ally. /argumentum.al
