TIRANA, April 15 – The Democratic Party (DP) and the Freedom Party (FP) in the ‘Together We Win’ coalition opened on Saturday the electoral campaign for the May 14 local elections at the Air Albania stadium.
Tens of thousands of democrats and members of the coalition parties gathered at the Air Albania Arena stadium in a marathon meeting to support the winning candidate in their presentation to the Albanians.
The DP chairman, Sali Berisha and the FP chairman, Ilir Meta attended the event as 61 candidates were presented by the DP and 12 of them, who are also the leaders of the country’s districts, delivered speeches.
In his key speech the DP chairman, Sali Berisha told the participants that the change is in their hands and that together the opposition would win.
Former Prime Minister Berisha emphasized that Prime Minister Edi Rama is terrified by the union of the Democrats.
According to him, Rama is terrified of May 14 because he knows that he will lose in a terrible way. “He is terrified because he will have the fate of his friend, the traitor to the American nation, McGonigal, who awaits him,” said Berisha.
The head of the Democrats, Berisha, called April 15 the day of hope and emphasized that on May 14, the change for Albanians will be crowned. Focusing on the government propaganda which says that everyone is the same, Berisha gave a series of arguments that the democrats are never compared to the socialists.
“Today we brought hope, on May 14 we will bring change,” emphasized Berisha. /Argumentum.al
