TIRANA – Austrian insurance group UNIQA has said that its profit before taxes from operations in Albania fell to 1.23 million euro ($1.34 million) in 2019 from 1.45 million euro the year before, reported SeeNews on Thursday.
UNIQA’s net premiums earned in Albania grew to 34.4 million euro last year from 31.5 million euro in 2018, the company said in an annual financial statement.
The company’s consolidated operating expenses in Albania rose to 16.4 million euro in 2019 from 15.29 million euro a year earlier.

In the region – excluding Romania – the group’s pre-tax profit rose to 16.4 million euro last year from 14 million euro in 2018, as net premiums earned grew to 234.7 million euro from 226.9 million euro. /argumentum.al
