The US Ambassador to Tirana, Yuri Kim has launched an appeal to Albanian citizens whose IDs have expired to get them as soon as possible.
In a post on Twitter on Wednesday Ambassador Kim stressed that Albanian citizens could get services and vote in the April 25 general election in Albania when having IDs.
According to her, the issuance of new biometric IDs is an essential part of the agreement on electoral reform reached by political parties thanks to the mediation of US, EU and UK diplomatic representations on June 5 last year.
