Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has said that the door of the Democratic Party (DP) is open to any diplomat, including the US Ambassador, Yuri Kim as he asked her to apologize to the Democrats.
Berisha expressed readiness to reconcile with the divided Democrats in a talk show on a local TV on Friday.
“I call on them to reach out and agree with the Democrats that we split. The door of the Democratic Party is open to friendly countries of every diplomat,” Berisha said. But he put a condition for Kim’s return. “Ms. Kim must apologize, she has severely insulted the Democrats. Returns are not a human desire,” Berisha said.
US Ambassador Kim declared and few months ago that if Berisha returns to DP leadership the embassy would cut any links with that party.
Berisha was designated as non grata by US State Secretary Blinken against whom a lawsuit has been filed by Berisha in a Parisian court. /Argumentum.al
