The repatriation of four children and a woman related to Albanian nationals killed fighting with Islamic extremist groups in Syria has been praised by the US Ambassador, Yuri Kim who in a note on Twitter on Wednesday hoped other repatriation will be made in the future.
According to relatives of those who joined ISIS, there are still 52 children in Syria.
The repatriated Albanians landed in Tirana later Tuesday which was considered as “a great step” to be followed by more repatriations by prime minister Edi Rama.
