TIRANA, March 10 – The US Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs, Rena Bitter, met in Tirana on Friday with the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka.
The US Embassy in Tirana announced that the meeting discussed the strengthening of bilateral ties between Albania and the US.
Assistant Secretary Bitter expressed gratitude on behalf of the US government for Albania’s generosity in hosting and protecting Afghans and reaffirmed the strong partnership between the United States and Albania.
Bitter visited Shengjin on Thursday, where she met with Afghans who are awaiting resettlement in the United States. /Argumentum.al
