Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip T. Reeker will travel to Italy, Albania and North Macedonia.
During his visit to Tirana on June 30, the Acting Assistant Secretary of State will meet with Prime Minister Edi Rama and other senior officials to discuss US-Albania relations and other areas of mutual interest, reported VoA on Friday.
On July 1, Mr. Reeker will arrive in Ohrid to attend the “Road to Prespa” Conference, where he will emphasize US support for ongoing dialogue and cooperation toward stability and progress throughout the region. Also in Ohrid, he will meet with Macedonian Prime Minister Zaev, Foreign Minister Osmani and other senior officials to discuss common priorities for the Western Balkans.
During the period June 22-29, the Acting Assistant Secretary of State will accompany Secretary Blinken on his trip to Berlin, Paris, Rome, the Vatican, Bari and Matera. /argumentum.al
