TIRANA, November 12 – The US Chargé d’Affaires in Tirana, David Wisner and Defense Attaché Eric Cote visited the city of Korça where they met with some business owners in Korça Bazaar who have benefited from the support of the Albanian American Foundation for Development (AADF).
“The positive impact of AADF’s non-profit work on the local community and economy was tremendous,” the US embassy said in a statement released on Sunday.
During his visit to Korça, Wisner visited the first Albanian school, “Mësonjëtore” and participated in a special ceremony commemorating the armistice during the First World War.
He also visited Voskopoja and the church of Saint Nicholas, which the United States helped restore as the first project of the Ambassadors’ Fund for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Albania in 2001. /argumentum.al
