TIRANA, April 6 – The United States Senator from Montana, Steve Daines is visiting Albania this week as part of a regional tour focused on stability, energy security and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
The Embassy of the United States of America in Tirana announced on Thursday that he met with Ambassador Yuri Kim during his visit to Albania and his agenda includes meetings with President Bajram Begaj, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka and other political leaders.
Senator Daines will also pay a visit to Kuçova Air Base, which will receive over $58 million in NATO funding to be modernized to support NATO airlift, logistics, air policing and training.
Senator Daines serves in the Senate Finance Committee, the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, and the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. /Argumentum.al
