TIRANA, May 3 – The US special envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, stated in a comment for Report Tv on Wednesday regarding the Meta-Berisha coalition that, “I don’t know why people should look back to the past, for as long as they can look to the future.”
When asked that in all probability the alliance between Berisha and Meta is the main opposition force in the country as confirmed in the polls, too, and whether the US will cooperate with Berisha as the leader of the opposition, Escobar said that “I would prefer not to comment too much the election result, but I want to draw attention to the progress that Albania has made in these 30 years.”
“Albania has moved forward in the Euro-Atlantic integration and has raised the level of credibility in the international arena that it had never before, and there are many challenges that should be included in the programming of the agenda,” Escobar said. /Argumentum.al
