TIRANA, October 18 – The US Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, held a meeting on Tuesday with the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, with whom she discussed the strengthening of Albania’s cyber defense.
In a post on social networks quoted by local media, Ambassador Kim emphasized that she discussed with Minister Peleshi defense cooperation between the US and Albania, including the strengthening of Albania’s cyber defense.
US leaders including the Secretary of Defense at the NATO Ministerial in October have made it clear that Washington condemns the cyber attacks carried out by Iran against the NATO ally of the US, Kim said.
The American diplomat underlined that the US will always strongly support Albania’s efforts to protect its people and territory, and to contribute to NATO’s goal of guaranteeing the freedom and security of all allies. /Argumentum.al
