The member of the Re-establishment Commission, Edi Paloka, ironized with last Wednesday’s interview of the American ambassador, Yuri Kim, who stated that the evidence they have for the former premier, Sali Berisha will not be sent to court. According to Paloka, if such a thing happened in a court in the US, the prosecutor would have been minimally convicted of insult.
Berisha has filed a lawsuit against US State Secretary asking a Paris court to rule on lack of evidence according to which the veteran Democrat was declared persona non grata in the US.
Imagine a trial in the US where the prosecutor tells the judge: “The defendant is a criminal. I have the evidence, but I do not give it! At a minimum, the judge could convict the prosecutor for insulting the trial panel,” Paloka wrote on social networks on Thursday.
In the interview, Kim said she did not know why Berisha was declarede persona non grata. According to her, even Lulzim Basha does not know anything about this issue.
Basha, head of DP, dismissed Berisha from Democratic Party parliamentary group under the claim that he was accused by US of corruption. / Argumentum.al
