TIRANA, May 29 – The situation in the north of Kosovo continues to be tense. Through a Facebook status on Monday, Pandeli Majko, one of the main figures of the ruling Socialist Party (SP) and former prime minister, also reacted.
Majko warned that the Albanian-Serbian conflict is a step away and that according to him, the Russian services are working under the created ‘alibi’.
“The Albanian-Serbian conflict is one step away! Russian services are working under the created “alibi”! Insistence on doing the right thing in politics often becomes an excuse for the wrong outcome!” said the full post released by Majko, who apparently blames Prime Minister Albin Kurti for the situation, saying not a word about Serbia which does not give up its dream of occupying the northern part of Kosovo.
In fact, the veteran Socialist politician, Majko did not say anything new. Rather he followed the line of PM Edi Rama who declared on May 27 that the situation created in the north of Kosovo does not help the process of normalization and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Does what is happening in Kosovo help the process where all the great friends of Kosovo and the Albanians are engaged for normalization and mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia?! Certainly not as long as our greatest friends themselves are deeply concerned,” said Rama. /argumentum.al
