According to the data of the vetting process in Albania made public by local media, 80 percent of those who have been dismissed from the judiciary system are from the north of the country.
This is not a coincidence and it is not a matter of incompetence and honesty or because that region is more uneducated than other areas, said analyst Basir Çollaku in a talk show on a local TV on Tuesday.
“There are wiretaps accusing foreigners of receiving money for the re-evaluation and vetting process in this reform. Foreign specialists have filled their bags with money to honor those who gave orders that this prosecutor or this judge should leave,” he said.
Further Collaku said there is a corrupt majority and in addition it needs a controlled opposition not to talk about these blasphemies of the majority.
“Three days ago, the police failed to arrest a deputy (Alqi Bllako). He returned after leaving the borders of Albania. He returned after the order of the Prime Minister (Edi Rama). The special authority against serious crime, SPAK was powerless to act. Who stopped this new, independent and strong institution from operating?” asked Collaku.
So the Vetting Process for prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj at the Special Appellate Panel revealed a serious situation of provincial discrimination followed by the re-evaluation structures. The prosecutor revealed communications of the former chairwoman of the Independent Qualification Commission, Genta Bungo Tafa, with members of the institution’s staff, using discriminatory expressions against judges and prosecutors originating from Northern Albania.
A verification of the decisions of the Independent Qualification Commission for the re-evaluation subjects originating from Tropoja, northern Albania, carried out by Boldness.al shows thatout of 17 judges and prosecutors only 2 of them were qualified without problems. /Argumentum.al
