Albania’s Head of State Ilir Meta met during his visit to Kosovo with the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Memli Krasniqi on Thursday. Meta pointed out after the meeting that in the warm and open conversation they shared the same position on the necessity of strengthening the strategic and fraternal relations between Albania and Kosovo.
“It is a great pleasure to meet today, on the eve of National Flag Day, the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi. In the warm and open conversation, we shared the same position on the necessity of strengthening the strategic and fraternal relations between Albania and Kosovo in all areas, ”said the President in a release on social networks.
Meta met Krasniqi in the frame of a visit to Kosovo where he has been received by the highest authorities of this country.
“I appreciated the contribution of PDK for the consolidation of Kosovo’s institutions, the rule of law and democracy, as well as for the continuation of the dialogue with Serbia through a comprehensive platform,” said Meta.
The Head of State stressed that the fight of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) was fair and decisive and that we believe in the innocence of Thaci, Veseli and all their comrades.
“The war of KLA, which was imposed on the people of Kosovo, turned out to be fair and decisive, so we believe in the innocence of President Hashim Thaci, former Speaker of Parliament, Kadri Veseli, and all their comrades,” said President Meta. / Argumentum.al
