A delegation from the Board of Directors of the Council of Albanian Ambassadors ( CAA) was received today in a working meeting by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti.
Prime Minister Kurti gave an overview on the tensed situation in Northern Kosovo caused by provocations by Serbia and its orchestrated illegal parallel structures, as well as on measures taken by his government to safeguard the state of the rule of law in this part of Kosovo.
The CAA delegation expressed its unsparing support for the Government of Kosovo and offered its assistance in meeting its current challenges for the normalization of the situation in Northern Kosovo. CAA holds that Kosovo is in its legitimate right to establish the rule of law throughout its own territory and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Council of Albanian Ambassadors appeals to the whole political establishment in Kosovo to be unified in protecting the country’s fundamental interests against ongoing provocations triggered from Serbia and in the continuation of negotiations for the normalization of relations with Serbia and, in particular, the EU and USA sponsored talks.
Likewise, with Prime Minister Kurti was discussed on the opportunities of cooperation and coordination of initiatives and stances in support of the Euro- integrating process of the Republic of Kosovo.
In this context, the Council of Albanian Ambassadors expressed its great satisfaction and full-fledged support for today’s Kosovo application for EU membership.
