In the atmosphere of the celebration of Independence Day of Albania – the proclamation of its independence on November 18, 1912, works started on the construction of the airport of Vlora, southern Albania, which was praised by one of the most important entrepreneurs in this project, Behgjet Pacolli, on Sunday.
Vlora Airport is planned to cover an area of 297 hectares, while the works will be carried out by a consortium of companies led by Pacolli. He guaranteed that this airport will be the most beautiful and functional in Albanian lands.
“I am very happy to be the main actor of this work, I am happy that this is happening in my country and the city that I love very much. In the last 20 years I have not missed a single November 28 in Vlora. I am in front of the Prime Minister (Edi Rama) that I prefer for the energy to change Albania. You have succeeded in this endeavor,” the Kosovo businessman and politician told Rama, who was present at the launch of the works.
Pacolli called it a ‘magnificent’ work guaranteeing that in the next event they will advance a lot with work and the day will come when, according to the contract, the airport will open.
“It will be the most beautiful and functional airport in these lands,” he said.
The estimated value of the investment is almost 104 million euros. / Argumentum.al
