Albania’s Parliament Gets Back to Deliberations after Summer Holidays  

Parliament resumed its deliberations on Monday with the Conference of Chairmen approving the work program for the period September 7- October 16 and the three-week calendar of works for the period September 7-25, parliamentary sources said.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker, Gramoz Ruçi called on the parliamentary committees to start immediately work to review the submitted legal acts, including the drafted acts.

According to the endorsed agenda by the Conference, plenary sessions of the Parliament will be held on 17 and 24 September. Given the coronavirus pandemic it was decided that the plenary sessions will be held with the physical presence of the deputies, respecting the safety protocols for protection from the disease. As far as committee meetings it was agreed that they will take place online. The meeting was held by electronic means of communication (Cisco Webex). /argumentum.al
