Tirana Mayor in Socialist Women's Forum

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, mocked the Democratic Party (DP) in Wednesday's activity of the Socialist Women's Forum, when he compared the open mentality existing in the Socialist Party (SP) with the influx of girls and young women in its forums with DP's mentality from whose ranks important figures like Jozefina Topalli and Majlinda Bregu have left.
According to him, the Socialist Party has in its nature to bring more and more girls and women every day, which makes the difference with any other party that seeks to come to power through exclusionary policies. "We are proud today when we say, 'One more.' Whereas, our opponent says: 'Another one left as Jozefina left. Another one quit, because Majlinda Bregu left!'
According to him, the difference between a democratic party and a 'tired' party is not the name but the mentality. "There is joy when another comes to our party. There is joy in their party when another one leaves, when another woman also leaves a party that has turned into a group of irritated men," said Veliaj./argumentum.al
