Albania and Saudi Arabia eye strengthening of economic cooperation

President Ilir Meta received on Tuesday in a meeting the Minister of Religious Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Sheikh Abdullatif Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asheik.

The Head of State praised the very good relations and cooperation between our two countries and expressed the desire to further strengthen them, especially in the economic and trade aspect, according to an announcement by the presidential press office.

Meta expressed his deep gratitude for the continuous humanitarian aid, development programs and technical and financial support that Saudi Arabia has given to Albania and the Albanian people over the years.

Such a visit is an expression of the intensification of the exchange of visits between the two countries.

A few days ago Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan paid an official visit to Tirana where he met the highest authorities.  Prince Faisal and Prime Minister Edi Rama reviewed the friendly and respectful relations between the two countries. They also discussed ways to strengthen and develop mutual cooperation in all fields. In addition, the two sides discussed regional and international developments, and ways to deepen the economic partnership between the two countries in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The official talks session reviewed the Kingdom’s international efforts in preserving the environment, including the Saudi and Middle East Green Initiatives, which offer a clear path forward to achieve international targets. / Argumentum.al
