Albania’s institutions reconfirm pledge to support Albanians of Presevo Valley

The Albanian Parliament, Government and institutions are predisposed to support the Albanian community of the Presevo Valley, according to a commitment made by Speaker Lindita Nikolla to the Mayor of Presevo, Ardita Sinani, who is in Tirana on a visit on Wednesday.

Ardita Sinani was elected Mayor of Presevo with 22 votes in favor and 9 against, while Ragmi Mustafa was appointed Deputy Mayor by the meeting of the Communal Assembly on May 10, 2021. The representative of Albanians in the Parliament of Serbia, MP Shaip Kamberi congratulated Ardita Sinani on his election as mayor of Presevo. She is the first woman head of the commune of Presevo.

Sinani informed the Speaker, Lindita Nikolla, on some issues of the current situation of the Albanians of the Valley and the need for more support from Albania.

Speaker Nikolla assured Sinani that the Parliament of Albania has been and remains committed to increasing support for the development, welfare and respect of the rights of Albanians in the Presevo Valley as well as their cooperation with the Government and institutions of Albania. / Argumentum.al
