The Albanian Parliament today is unconstitutional and should be dissolved because it was created illegally and laws that are corrupt are being adopted, said the head of the Republican Party (RP), Fatmir Mediu.
Speaking on a TV talk show on Wednesday evening, Mediu who leads RP, one of the oldest right-wing parties but with a small membership, stressed that President Ilir Meta should dissolve the Parliament if PM Edi Rama continues with these illegalities by passing laws that are corrupt.
According to him, the presidency is the only institution not dependent on the prime minister.
“There are over dozens of corrupt laws passed. There is no institution that can judge what the prime minister and parliament do,” he said adding that there is no state in Albania but there is a relationship between a man and several people to the detriment of national interests.
“Edi Rama’s agenda is only the government, and he will do everything to manipulate the upcoming parliamentary elections, so the opposition must defend the vote. The opposition must come up with a program and implement it. We need a dignified government,” said Mediu./argumentum.al
