The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama has stated that no insult will be tolerated by the representatives of the Serbian government, referring to the recent statements of the Minister of Defense, Aleksander Vulin. He said that the Albanian foreign ministry had summoned the Serbian ambassador to Tirana to convey to Belgrade a verbal note on those tendentious statements.
Rama said that he expected the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic to apologize for his minister’s statements. Further on he noted that that no loose mouth in the government of Serbia could hurt the government of Albania, or the figure of a minister or prime minister of the country.
A few days ago, the Serbian Minister in question commented on the statement of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama at the joint press conference held with the Prime Minister of Kosovo Avdullah Hoti in Tirana.
The head of the Albanian government said that the Port of Durres will be “de facto” port of Kosovo, and this assessment for Vulin seemed a clear sign that Rama is working to create a “Greater Albania”.
“Declaring that the Port of Durres will be of Kosovo, Edi Rama continues to work on the creation of “Greater Albania”,”said Vulin, calling on the EU to react as such a thing is a threat to peace.
But his reactions did not end there. Through a second statement, the Serbian Mini7ster of Defense said that the Prime Minister of Albania will be remembered more for the “torn socks” than for the development of bright ideas. According to him, if Prime Minister Edi Rama had “enough brains”, the latter would not try at all to create what he calls “Greater Albania” and would not evaluate “KLA assassins”.
Rama responded to these statements by stating that the Kosovo Liberation Army fighters were the liberators, and that the assassins were and are in Belgrade. /argumentum.al
