Maverick Democratic Party MP Rudina Hajdari has put an end to the dilemmas by stating that she will participate in the next elections with the political party ‘Nisma’ (Initiative).
Ms. Hajdari clarified that it remains to be discussed which of the civil society figures will be involved.
“Obviously we will participate in elections. We will be a new movement which has already its name and it has the name ‘Initiative’,” she said. She further clarified that the civil society “Nisma Thurrje” is something different from the political party “Nisma”.
“They have nothing to do with each other. It remains to be seen in the future which of them will engage and run in the next elections. There was a lot of curiosity about how it would work,” Hajdari said.
A few days ago, there was a rift in the relationship between MP Rudina Hajdari, an outspoken criticizer of PM Edi Rama, and some of the leaders of the “Nisma Thurrje” after the approval of the new Electoral Code unilaterally by the majority. / /argumentum.al
