“Albanians in North Macedonia and the Macedonian community in Albania are values and strong bridges of friendship and cooperation,” has said President Ilir Meta in his message addressed to his North Macedonian counterpart Stevo Pendarovski on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of Independence.
“I express the conviction that the addressing and continuous improvement of interethnic relations between Albanians and Macedonians have greatly impacted on the strengthening of the cooperation between our two countries,” Meta wrote in his message on Tuesday, expressing the warmest and heartfelt congratulations to all citizens of the friendly country on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of North Macedonia.
“I am happy to state that thanks to the vision and common European and Euro-Atlantic interests, we have built very good neighborly relations and cooperation in all areas in the best interest of both countries and their citizens over the last three decades,” he pointed out.
President also took the opportunity to congratulate his counterpart on the successful conduct of the parliamentary elections in last July, which will surely give a very positive impetus to the process of European integration of North Macedonia, thus serving the strengthening of security, peace and prosperity of the whole region/argumentum.al
